The day of the exam

The day of the exam

13

OK, so the day of the exam is here. These tips will help you to do the best you can on the day of the exam.

  •  If your exam is in the morning, get up early and have a good breakfast. This will give you lots of energy.
  •  Don’t forget to take your things!
  •  Get to school early. Leave plenty of time to get there. If you are late, you will feel more nervous. Check which room your exam is in.
  •  Go to the toilet before the exam starts!
  •  Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths if you feel nervous.
  •  Listen carefully to the teacher while he/she is explaining what to do.
  •  Read the instructions carefully. If you don’t understand the instructions ask the teacher.
  •  Look through the test and see how much time you have to do each part. Write the time you have for each part on the test paper to help you organise your time.
  •  Write your name on the exam paper.
  •  If possible, start with the easiest section first. This will help you relax.
  •  When you have finished, check your answers carefully.
  •  In a writing exam, check your writing carefully for any mistakes.

Hi all!
I think you don't need to worry about any exam, if you have confidence that you are ready for it. Most of the students get low results because of the mental stress during the exam period. So nothing will come out of your brain when you are in stress.
I usually get up a little bit of early on the exam day. As an example, if you usually get up at 6.00, on the exam day you could get up at 5.30, specially to arrange your things without forgetting anything. I usually have a light diet in order to have more blood supply to my brain, not to my digestive system. I go to the exam hall half an hour early to the exam begins to prepare well. Then I take a deep breath and read the questions well and start writing as quickly as possible without wasting my time.
Please correct if you see any errors.
Thank you very much for reading, Ash

Actually I hate exams, because even if I knew each questions,I forget everything...However,I have good marks.I get earlier in exam day.I have in breakfast meals with more protein. It's good for brain.First of all,I try to get to the school 30 minutes before the exam. When the exam begins,I take deep breath and begin ti doing tests...I always try to begin with easy questions.Because if you'll begin with hard questions you'll get stressful.

I get up early, have a shower and have a good breakfast.I try to do these as fast as possible so I can have some time to repeat some critical things .Try to relax and then go for it.

I get up early in the morning, because I like to do everything in time. If the test starts at ten 'clock, I'll be there at half past ten, because I hate to do things in rush. I also repeat some critical things and after that, I go calmly to exam...;)

So my routine for the exam day is this:
-I wake up at 7:00am, and have a shower
-Then i drink coffee and eat a lot of dark chocolate, so i will have a lot of energy
-then I revise for 5 minutes
-I go to school early that day
-when my friends come, I ask them to check me, and we revise together
-i buy a bottle of water in the canteen
-then i go to the exam hall and sit at the first desk, so i cant see my classmates, because the can distract me
-i switch off my phone
-i take out three pens,
i listen to the teacher
-i read the instructions
-and i start answering the questions

I love dark chocolate too! But I prefer the one with lots of cocoa (more than 80%). It's not as sweet as regular chocolate, that for sure, but it's way healthier.

I never revise my knowledge before the exam. I only get distracted and start to worry if I don't remember something. I'm not doing this anymore. I proudly walk in the class and hope that I will remember all :-)

Switching your phone off is a great tip! No distractions, please! :/
