I'm a prep class student and I've 22 hours for English at school. I've 3 teachers; 1) Native Speaker, 2) Skills Teacher 3) Grammer teacher. They say:
-You have to learn English and more than 1 language.
-Study every day and regularly!
-Never give up!
-Read stories etc
-Make listening practice with songs
-Try to talk in English every time...
.
.
.etc...

My teacher told me that before the exams I should do REVISION OF MY VOCAB & GRAMMAR.
She said that the night before the exams I should NOT HANG OUT WITH MY FRIENDS, JUST STAY HOME AND RELAX.
She advised me to GET UP 1 HOUR BEFORE THE EXAMS, EAT A BIG BREAKFAST and GO TO THE TOILET MANY TIMES!!!

My English teacher often gives me good tips. She says that you must work, if you want to see results. For the listening exams she says that you need to hear every information carefully. Also she says that before exam you should make sure that you're ready and you shouldn't be nervous. She is a excellent teacher. Because of her I love the English language so much!

My teachers always tell me:
1. study often because if lessons stock up we won`t succeed to learn all
2. ask teacher if something isn`t clear
3. go on extra lessons to improve our knowledge
4. learn with understanding

Hi HereWeGo! That’s a good and important question and many people who are learning a foreign language will be able to relate to those feelings.

Everybody makes mistakes, it’s normal, so just keep going and don’t give up. Nobody will think you’re terrible at English just because you make a few mistakes. If you’re worried that you won’t be able to say something complicated, keep it simple. The most important thing is to be clear.

Misunderstandings are normal too but the best speakers have ways of solving this problem, so the communication doesn’t break down. For example, if you didn’t get what somebody just said, say Sorry, what was that? or I missed that, could you say that again? If you think you understood something but you’re not 100% sure, say Do you mean …, is that right? These are everyday phrases and people say them all the time.

Finally, try to relax. Talking to another person should be enjoyable and most people will try to help you to overcome any problems or misunderstandings. For practice, you can of course write messages on our site to other users. Your message was very clear and well-written so I’m sure your communication skills are already very good. Who do you talk to in English? Have you ever been to an English-speaking country? Good luck! :)
