Some people like listening to music when they study and it can help them concentrate. But if music distracts you, turn it off while you study or listen to music without words. Listen to your favourite music during your breaks. Try studying with music on and without music, to see how you study better. You might find that a certain type of music helps your concentration.

Can you recommend any music that helps you concentrate on your studies?

I really like listening to music, i often listen to my favorite music before sleeping, it helps me to love this life by the interesting ways
I like listening to music but it doesn't help me study .
I do think music helps you to get a better concentration , but I also believe that if you are not a really big fan of music it might be annoying , difficult to study and even get you in a bad mood. Even though I am a music lover , I still have those moments where I rather study in complete silence. Also your preferences are an important thing to consider, I know some people who dislikes the idea of listening to instrumental music while studying and loves studying with rock music or electronic music, something that works for me is to listen to music that I like in other languages while doing homework, so that I don't get distracted singing the lyrics but when it gets to study for real I tend to listen songs with slow beats and without lyrics.
in my opinion, I prefer use music when I study, it's always a kind of relaxing, but I think that it doesn't work for everyone.
personally i don't like listen catchy music like pop or rock because some times is noisy and the sounds always distract me of the work.
I suggest you listen instrumental music because you don't get distracted with the lyrics and it is always soft.
Personally, Sometimes I listen to music when I study. Some friends say that it's distracting, i believe that it's distracting when you listen music with words because could be that you try to understand the letter or sing the song. That's the reason that i prefer the classical with violin or piano.
Regards!
I think that listening music it's good when you are studying doing your homework, but not all the music helps, for example, I can't work if I am listening a song, the lyrics distract me and most of the time I ended singing instead of doing my work so I recomend to listen instrumental music, especially if it is performed by an orchestra like classical music and with an adequate volume, very loud music can distract you too
Well…
Perhaps any music with the tempo of Andante ☆
Hello Elsa
I am ignorant about " music with the tempo of Andante", my teacher said that Baroque might be a good kind of music which could be listened while we were studying.
And I also know about a special kind of music, It doesn't have strong beats, so you'll not feel tired. But, the melody is not sorrowful, so you're never pessimistic and wistful while listening. The harmony between unique musical instruments and local accent will make you happier ( the melody is not strong enough to make you feel more excited ) to start your study.Do you want to try listening, ? :) I do want to recommend a song I'm really really fond of.
Hello giang!
Thank you for your goodd advice! You're so intelligent!
Yes, I love to know your recommendation! Please!!
Hi elsa
yeah yeah yeah
Do you remmenber the song " beo dat may troi " ?. It belongs to culture in the North.
I'm going to recommend a special kind of music : A folk song coming from the South of Vietnam :) Permit me to introduce a little.
This song is played with unique traditional Vietnamese musical instruments and only sung with local accent of people in the south. Because this is a folk song so the singer has to wear " ao dai " ( traditional dress) and "non la " ( tradtional hat of VNese women, which are made of leaves of plam tree) and.. ( I'm sorry, Am I too talkative ? )
Yes, the song " Hon que " and the singer is Hien Thuc.
Btw, I've written a short essay in the article " Someone I admire ", I do want to know your opinion of it, please!!
Hi gianggiang
I remember the singer!
Hmm… well it seems to work well as a starter music for studying!☆
To me, the music sounds like a Chinese melody, doesn't it?
I've commented about your essay! Let me read your essays sometimes!☆
Hi Elsa
You're great, I like your idea, you have a strong personality. I feel that you are like Anne (Anne of green gable-Montgomery). If Anne like something, she says: " I really love it", and if she doesn't like, she says: " I hate/loathe it"
Actually, each person has an opinion of a song and a kind of music, but, sometimes, because of politeness or something like that ( not wanting to make the other person sad and disappointed ), some people don't show their real feelings :(. Sometimes, I mean to choose a normal song and ask people about it, but they said " great, great " :>
But, you know what,, in vietnam, there is a city called " center of aodai". Ao dais sold there are famous for various types and colours. But the official colour of ao dai in that city is Purple. Once, you said that you liked purple, do you think you will visit my country some day and buy a beautiful purple ao dai ?
btw, about the singer, you mean you had known her before I told you about her ?, if so, how come do you know her ?
I like music but I never listen to it while studying. If my favorite song is on, I only think about the lyrics and completely forget about the lessons.
Now i like to listen to One direction,Imagine dragons,Cascada. My favourite songs are:They don't know about us,best song ever, you and i,radioactive, every time we touch and miracle.
My favourite song is Counting stars of One republic, but i also like songs Les rois du monde ,All of me,Happy and more ,but this are my favourite. And I go to the choir to.We re going to have a concert soon and i can t wait.
Sometimes I listen to the music while learning but it usually distracts me and I start dancing and jamming to my favourite song all over the room.
Always when i have to be contreceded in studiyng.I LOve to hear One Direction Or Justin Bieber that makes me contraceded :))
i like listening to music but it doesn't help me concentrate..because i start singing and :(..bad news for me then :P ... anyway i think that the best is to concentrate in your studies than to listen to music. this way you can finish faster and then you can listen to music comfortable. but sometimes i agree music helps us to feel better. To sum up classic music is the best to listen when your studying but better concentrate and finish as fast as u can.
ANYWAY.PEOPLE ARE DIFFERENT SO THEY LIKE DIFFERENT THINGS. THIS IS THE BEST PART OF OURS
BEING DIFFERENT.!!!
I agree with ilda...
Wow! You have solved my problem. i love to listen music while i am studying but it is true that sometime it distract my attention from study. but you suggested to listen music without words that is too much great as i tried it and have great experience with it.
i like all kind of music
I love listening to piano music while studying.. It is not distructing and helps my brain to work better! :)
Personally, I listen to music when I study. Some people say it's distracting, but for me it's not. I don't listen to music only when I feel I have to pronounce everything I learn; by the way, this is also a great way to study!
I've a friend and she loves Bethoven!
But I love modern music!
Oh yeah!
Ma cherie is the best!!
=)
i will recomand you " write my number on your hand"- Scotty McCreery.
it`s better than Ma cherie.
Actually I have tried to study with listening to music at the same time ,but it wasn't helpful!
I've realized that I will loose concentration if I listened to music while studying. But with that it may be a useful way to studying to others .
Hi everyone ,I made a mistake in the first comment. The last word is advices .It's wrong because there are some nouns aren't used in the plural as advice ,information ,news, work ,money, progress, knowledge , furniture, scenery ,luggage and machinery. When only one thing is meant we can say a piece of advice ,information ,news.......etc.
The edit will be ( A big thank for your precious piece of advice )
Nobody is flawless !!
The source: common mistakes in English 5th edition ...such a helpful book !
What a great, clear explanation of uncountable nouns. One more example? We can't say
but we CAN say
Big thanks to you, Blue sea. You would make a great teacher when you're older! Any other books you recommend?

I think that listening to music when you study can have a beneficial effect. I sometimes listen to music too when I study. But I usually dont play music when I study maths or physics, because I need 100% focus on that subject. Listening to music while studying draws your attention away if you like it or not. It's just how brain works I suppose.
My favourite music when I study: reggae, soft rock and chill out. I know, 3 different genres, but in my case, such music is fun and helpful for studying ;)

Luxy
