Transcript:
Sonya: Hi Londoners, we're here on Charing Cross Road for a very exciting day. It is the new Routemaster day and we hear that it's on its way from Victoria right now! Well, oh, that's not it. It's not that one. I've never been so excited about a bus coming. Oh my God! The bus is here! I'm going to go ahead. Do I get on the front or the back? OK, the back.
Announcer: 38 to Hackney Central.
Sonya: We're on the new Routemaster bus. This is the only one in London at the moment and it's absolutely packed so far. This is one of the most expensive buses ever, costing 1.4 million pounds. Apparently each seat is worth over 22 and a half grand.
Interviewer: Is it worth it?
Sonya: It's pretty comfortable, but not that comfortable.
Have you come down specifically to get this bus today?
Man #1 on the bus: Yes, yeah I did, yeah.
Sonya: How long did you have to wait?
Man #1 on the bus: Um, well, it left, uh, Victoria about an hour and a half late I think, so...
Sonya: This is pretty cool. That poor, inadequate 38! I bet that driver feels really bad.
How's your journey going so far on the-?
Man #2 on the bus: Oh, it's going alright, it's going alright. For a tall person, the head room's not very good upstairs. And this leg room's a bit tight. It's better down here. But nice, it's a nice concept. And if they could sort the heating out, cause we don't need it today, that would be a good, good move.
Sonya: How's the first day of the bus going?
Mike Weston: Yeah, really good. So the public reaction's been good. People's, people think it’s great, a really stylish vehicle. It’s really iconic and, um, environmentally it’s very, very clean. At the moment it’s, it's driving in battery mode.
Sonya: Wow.
Mike Weston: The battery, I think has been on since Oxford Circus … when you got on, I think it was in battery mode then, so the engine’s not running.
Sonya: So I have to get off, I think. Well that was a pretty sweet ride. All other buses are going to be so boring now.
Interviewer: So what did you make of it?
Sonya: Yeah, it's possibly the most overhyped piece of transport I've ever been on, but it was actually pretty nice. It looks good when it's driving away as well. Nice bum.

Hi Ashfaq,
The videos we use in Video zone are from YouTube. Is YouTube available in your country? We know that in some countries you can't watch these clips :( but we hope you'll find lots of things you can do on our website to help you improve your English.
Best wishes, Jo (LearnEnglish Teens Team)

yes i like taking the bus but my favourite mean of transport is train and taxi
i hate to travel by bus
i like traveling by plane
I like traveling by bike ...
I dont like buses so much because they are crowded. I like to travel with my own car. Here in Albania people use to travel a lot by mini buses because they are not crowded and they dont stop so often...
I don't like bus at all; there's a huge crowd, you don't have enough place to sit, and there you can see many crazy people. Once I saw a man with an ax and with chains and I was so frightened, and that was my first and only time I was in a bus. I hate metros, too. I thank God for renta car. I like traveling by my parents' car, when I go nearby the city, and by plane, when it's about some far away places. I like bikes, too, but only for walks and recreation. And taxi sometimes, when my parents don't have time to give me a lift. But I prefer walking, and in my city, I usually go by feet, because it's much more healthier and it keeps you fit.
People in Serbia mostly use buses and cars.
