I am not very good at studying often, I do study for tests and everything but some stuff I do not find as important and I might look at the words or phrases that we get as homework in let's say French. But when I do study I use my whiteboard and my computer and I write the phrases so that I can make my hand remember so I do not do it wrong when I am tested at it.

I think I´m good at studying. To concentrate more I sit in a quiet room with no disturbing things. And sometimes I also listen to just a piano playing.

I prefer to study in a quite room this help me to be focused on my studies and to get good grades but this doesn't work for eveyone because there are people who say they are more concentrate when the study with some noises like television a member of their family who is speaking anyway everyone has his own study. I think that if you really want to be a brilliant student u have to organise your time and to be ready to take exams. Please if there is any mistake say it to me.

I'm not good at studying. I can easily lose my concentration while studying. I have tried a lot to improve my concentration, but couldn't improve my concentration.

I prefer studying in a comfortable room. I need silence and that the room is organised, for me, it is very important. On the other hand, normally I preper my timeplan for a week, and I love doing my own mind plan with a lot colours!.

What do I do to help me to concentrate?
Well, I usually try to get rid of "noise" which distract me from studying…
Sometimes, people who only care about themselves get on my nerves…..!!

well, I am a member of team Math so I spend most of the time doing Math exercises, I only have a little time to take notice of other subjects. So, if you ask me about Math, I am a quite good student, otherwise, I am a bad student. I know a little about Chemistry, know very very little about Literature. In addition, I am hopeless at History, Geography, Philosophy and Economy. They are not my cup of tea because they're Greek to me !!! I wish I knew a bit about Literature !

Mind maps, I haven't drawn for a long time. This listening topic reminds me of it. I know what to do with History and Literature.

I will try to improve my English as much as I can, and it's also very diffcult for me because I didn't study when I lived in my own country (Afghanistan) and I now live in Sweden and I will do my best and really hope to finish my English to get my degree this last year in high school.

I like studying, and I think I'm good at it. Years ago, I used to just read or even don't study anything! But, with time, you keep learning much more things and there are so many subjects you cannot just say "oh, I'm not studying it", so I like to review my class notes and write while I'm studying (sometimes I just write words and a little meaning). And when it's about maths, I like to look for excersises or problems on internet and solve them, it is really helpful! When I was studying logic, I have to confess I missed half of the course (I didn't understand, and I didn't do anything untill two months before the final exam) so I took a book, and started to read it, solve its excersises, and look for more on internet, and I got a 9 in the final exam (of 10). I like to have good notes.

Hi, BrisiPuan. I would love to meet you and chat with you. I'm from Mexico and I've been studying english since... It's a little complicated, I started at four or five, but obviously with the basic things, I've been between the informal and the formal learning (by myself or in a school) through the years, and I would say I really started to learn english when I was about fourteen. I'm still on B1, but I want to improve my english and get at least a B2.

Hi AbrilRG,
On LearnEnglish Teens you can practise your English to communicate with people from all over the world! The moderators (like me!) and the bloggers in our Magazine section, are native speakers so sometimes you can communicate with native speakers. In real life though, you're probably going to use your English a lot more with non-native speakers so really it doesn't matter who you practise with. Many non-native speakers have a higher level of English than some native speakers I know!!! So, don't worry so much about who you are communicating with - the important thing is to practise your English as much as you can, with whoever is there!
Best wishes, Joanna (LearnEnglish Teens Team)
