Mind maps, I haven't drawn for a long time. This listening topic reminds me of it. I know what to do with History and Literature.

I will try to improve my English as much as I can, and it's also very diffcult for me because I didn't study when I lived in my own country (Afghanistan) and I now live in Sweden and I will do my best and really hope to finish my English to get my degree this last year in high school.

I like studying, and I think I'm good at it. Years ago, I used to just read or even don't study anything! But, with time, you keep learning much more things and there are so many subjects you cannot just say "oh, I'm not studying it", so I like to review my class notes and write while I'm studying (sometimes I just write words and a little meaning). And when it's about maths, I like to look for excersises or problems on internet and solve them, it is really helpful! When I was studying logic, I have to confess I missed half of the course (I didn't understand, and I didn't do anything untill two months before the final exam) so I took a book, and started to read it, solve its excersises, and look for more on internet, and I got a 9 in the final exam (of 10). I like to have good notes.

Hi, BrisiPuan. I would love to meet you and chat with you. I'm from Mexico and I've been studying english since... It's a little complicated, I started at four or five, but obviously with the basic things, I've been between the informal and the formal learning (by myself or in a school) through the years, and I would say I really started to learn english when I was about fourteen. I'm still on B1, but I want to improve my english and get at least a B2.

Hi AbrilRG,
On LearnEnglish Teens you can practise your English to communicate with people from all over the world! The moderators (like me!) and the bloggers in our Magazine section, are native speakers so sometimes you can communicate with native speakers. In real life though, you're probably going to use your English a lot more with non-native speakers so really it doesn't matter who you practise with. Many non-native speakers have a higher level of English than some native speakers I know!!! So, don't worry so much about who you are communicating with - the important thing is to practise your English as much as you can, with whoever is there!
Best wishes, Joanna (LearnEnglish Teens Team)

Hi AbrilRG,
Thanks for your comment. I have only set foot in Argentina when I was living in Brazil and I went to visit the Iguazu Falls. It was amazing.
I'm English but I've lived and worked in Spain for many years. I live in the north-east of Spain in a region called Catalonia.
Best wishes with your studies and I hope the website is useful for you.

I often listen to slow music while i am studying, but i concentrate more when it is silence. I shouldn't be studying with my telephone near.
I'm new in this page and i'm very surprised for this page because i don't know that exists pages like this. I like it so much.

When I study I need silence and sometimes I do mind maps. I try to turn down my mobile phone so as not to be bothered.
I am from Argentina and I have been studying English since I was six years. Now I am trying to improve my listening and speaking skills.
I enjoyed this listening exercise!!

I think I am good at studying, because when I say in my mind: ''I will study now'',I do it.I really like the idea that I will be free for the rest of the day,and sure that my homework is done.Breaks are very important and the best thing you can do in your break is to eat something,or drink a fresh juice.I really like doing my homework in silence and that's the only way to have a total concentration.I like to make notes of EVERYTHING it is my favorite way to learn things and remember them for a long time! :D

I like learning when in the room is silent.I don't llike learn when it is noise.I prefer to stay at the desk because it is the only way to focus on study. When I have an exam I like to prepare for them with one week before.
I don't like to learn under pressure even if sometimes it's necessary.
Other modality that can be used to memorize what do you learn is to underline the part that are important.

I enjoy studying, but I have some good results just when I study things I prefer. It's not convenient, 'cause sometimes I can't concentrate in really important.

While I lose concentration I will think about the past fun-filled moments and wonder how I would be enjoying after finishing my work. It would make my work a lot easier and lighter. So simple.

I think taking breaks is very important because our mind only can concentrates for a short period of time. I´ve heard that you have to study an hour and take a five minute break to let your mind process the information.

I´m really good at studying I always have a plan and I start to study a few weeks before my exams and I always take personal notes and if the teacher highlights something I always write it down because it often comes on the exam.
I have to study in a quiet place with no tv or any other source of distraction,I can´t study at my room otherwise I´ll fall asleep. ;-)

I prefer to work alone. I like to be quiet. Furthermore, I cannot study while the television is on. I just want to be concentrated on lessons.

I'm not really good at studying, i often break my concentration while i am studying, for example whilst i am learning English in my computer, i often check Facebook, email and read something which is waste so much time. Listen to music is also not a good idea while studying, it spoils my concentration because i always want to sing when it is playing.
The best way to help me concentrate is silent, no music and TV, and don't open any social media while i am studying with my computer.
