I just buy new devices in case the old ones don't work. I've bought my present laptop 10 years ago and it still works perfectly. My smartphone is not that old. It was bought a year ago. I don't think it's a good idea to change devices often. It's wasting your money and your time.
Personally I buy a new computer or smartphone when the first one I have is not useful and we can't repair. Because, if you take cares to your thing you don't need to buy every 5 year a new one. For example me I have my computer there is already 4 years and my phone 2 years already and they always good.
I had only two phones and one computer, so I can't say truely, how often I change my gadget. But I think that it's normal to change a phone every 4 or 5 years and a computer every 7-8 years.
Each 5 years.
Right now, I don't need to change my laptop every time a new technology is born. But, I buy a new smartphone each four years or so.
- How often do you buy a new computer or smartphone?
I thought we need to keep & use our old computer or smartphone for saving money.
But now i have a different idea. It needs to get best fashion products always. Because people grow themself up by getting more information / knowledge from such as news, fashion products, new people.
So I buy them as soon as they comes to our world.
- Summarizing the information in the graph
This give us the information about spending of people on computers and smartphones between the year 2011 and 2015.
As we can know, there were upwards trending in this period on both computers and smartphones.
Computers sales increased by $5 million steadily every year.
Smartphone sles remained level at $10 million for 3 years but it increased rapidly since 2014.
The expenditure on smartphone in 2014 is $30 million and $45 million was spent in 2015.
It was really dramatic rise.
Even though there were rapid rising on smartphone sales, it is less than computer sales so far.
People spent $50 million on buying computers in 2015.
Forom 2011 to 2014, the spending on computers is $200 milliion, the expenditure on smartphones is $105 million.
So total spending is $305 million.
Overall, the spending on both items grew, but smartphone sales grew quickly.
If these trends continue, we can expect the smartphone sales to overtake the computer sales in 2016 or soon after.
i never bought a new laptop, i have a laptop that is given to me by my brother,my brother has given to me three laptop's till now from which i damaged two laptop's.i bought my smartphone two years ago because my sister damaged my old smartphone, she dropped my smartphone and the smartphone get damaged.
I don't have any computer and phone, too. So, I don't need to buy them. : )
I agree with the writer of the text.
We need to be mobile to communicate everytime and a laptop is not so portable.
I don't change my phone and laptop every time new technology is born.I only bought 2 laptops and 3 phones throughout my life. They are still good enough to use.Buying new things unlesa u really need is a bad habit and it can also damage our environment. So we should think twice before we buy new things.
I buy a new phone every few years
I buy each a new Computer each five year and smartphones each three years...
I think that it's ok...
