if I get lost I'll find place that easy to find, stay right there and call to someone but if I lost in city that I didn't know anyone I'll ask someone for way go to police station.

If I get lost, I would ask someone for the direction or phone my mom. I got lost once at a shopping center, when I was a kid. I first cry and tried to find my mom, I still remember I was terribly scared. As I was crying a woman notice me and asked why I was so much alarmed, I explain her that I was lost. And then the Idea went through my head. I asked the woman whether I could borrow her phone to call my mom. Of course she says yes and I was very thankful of her.
I've got the similar experience when I was a small kid. It was in the department store. I got lost being so wrapped up watching interesting displays, but It d decided that I wouldn't cry in public so I asked one of the staff to give out to call for my mum who could be somewhere around. I was a bit embarrassed when my name was announced in the store!

I will ask the local people.
I was losted in the swamp of crocodile when I was 5 but I don't asked anyone, I finded the way alone then I can find my family. Now, I don't get lost anymore but if I get lost, I'll phone to my mother or ask local people for directions.
Oh....that sounds scare! First, I'll try to remember which street I am here and then ask the local people for help.

How do you know 'the citizens' ?? I often ask a wrong person…
If I got lost in the city or town or need to find place I have to use three method .
First I use the map and GPS on the mobile if I have 3G.
Second I will call my friends and ask them .
Third I use the last chance by asking any body in the street.

Interestingly, I would do the reverse of your method!
First, I ask someone or police officer in the street.
Second, I will show the map to some one to tell me the direction.
Lastly, I will ask some one seems kind to take me to the direction.
That's how I've survived in a storage city…! ツ
When I get lost in a city, I just ask for help from located people. They seem to know every directions in them town.
If I get lost in a town or city I will direct local citizens. In Viet Nam you could ask everyone who are sellers or people on the road. If you have a smartphone you can find places or the way when you want because 3G is very cheap price.

One of the best things about travel is embracing the unexpected, and being ‘lost’ is not necessarily a bad thing. I have been lost once and I asked for directions but, now, I always make a mental note of landmarks as I pass them, so that I can retrace my steps later if necessary. However, I'm thankful for people always willing to help.

When I get lost in a town or city, I usually use my phone to access the map software of Google.

If I get lost in a city or town, I would approach to a nearest local shop and buy a map or if i'm totally out of money, then I'll go to nearest train station or bus station, where the map of the city will be displayed on the large boards.
