There is no question human brain is enigmatic and impressive. The more research you do, the more interesting things you learn. Did I learn anything from this writer? Yes, I did. I was surprised about the fact that the tricky behaviour in adolescents could be related to brain connections rather than hormones. Regarding to the second question, I think I recall an interesting curiosity I heard in some documental program. In it, a brainf researcher said that some neurons could be above one meter in length, becoming among those biggest cells in our body.

I really like this text. I'm studying Nursing at the university, so I now that the information mentioned before is true. Puberty is one of the most important stages of life because of all the changes that our body and mind experience.

Another interesting fact is that neurons use chemical substances to comunicate with each other and transmit information. These substances are called "neurotransmitters". Many studies say that neurons increase the amount of neurotransmitters during puberty. That's one reason why teenagers have an erratic behaviour during puberty.

Hi DragonBlood ☺
Thanks for your comments on LearnEnglish Teens. This website is specially for teenagers aged 13-17 years old but it sounds like you could be older than that. You are welcome to keep on using LearnEnglish Teens but if you are over 17, please do NOT post any more comments as we must keep this strictly for teenagers to interact with each other. You are welcome to join our LearnEnglish page for adults and post comments there: www.britishcouncil.org/learnenglish
Best wishes, Tina (LearnEnglishTeens Team)

speaking from my own experience, i can tell that puberty it's a whole new level of changes and i agree with the fact that our mood and behaviour rely on the complete formation of our brain. i may also agree with the after mentioned fact that the last part to develop it's the one referred to self-control and making decisions due to the fact that we are not able to make the right decisions until we become more mature.
