Tips for being a super-organised student
posted 2 hours ago by Amy
I have always admired students who hand their homework in on time and never forget to do it. Me, on the other hand, … OK, I admit. I’m terrible at getting myself organised!
But lately I’ve started keeping a small study diary. I write down everything I need to do and when it needs to be done by. Then I write a reminder a few days before the date just in case. It’s helping.
So I was wondering, what are your tips for getting organised? Post a comment below. I’m hoping we can all share some tips to teach us all better study skills.

Good question, Amy. I always spend about five minutes at the end of the day tidying up the desktop on my computer. I make a backup of important documents. I delete things I don’t need any more and put everything into the correct folder.
Amy
Nice tip, Hana. I think it’s a good idea to do a little bit of tidying up every day. Then it becomes a habit and your desktop is always organised.
Gloria
The most important thing is to start studying a few weeks before the exams and not leave it until the night before! That’s just common sense, I think.
Amy
Thanks, Gloria! I agree.

Hi, Amy. My tip is to have a big noticeboard in your bedroom, divided into different sections. I’ve got one. It’s a whiteboard. I’ve got a section for each school subject and another one for other stuff. I use board pens to write reminders and I make sure I look at it every day. The best part is when I remove something from the board!
Amy
Great tip, Lou. I’ve got a cork board with pins. I use it in the same way.

First of all, in order to be a good student, you should know the plans of the day, take notes, make a reminder and how to have a good sleep pattern and you should definitely have a plan.
Thank you for the tips , im from spain
Actually I'm the best organised student in my class so I think I have some useful tips. First and the most important is to learn all stuff which were at the lessons, just after school and on the same day. Every day you get something new to learn so it's important to study regularly, not just before an exam. Secondly, be sure that you have your own to-do list. It's really helpful because thanks that I'm not worried about any tasks - I have them written on my list. Thirdly - maybe quite drastic, but needed - use less your phone. It makes you distracted and takes your valuable time. And finally - eat healthy, sleep well and drink a lot of water. I know most of people (especially teenagers) don't like healthy lifestyle but it's extremely helpful and I highly reccomend it.
I'd like to share my tips on how to be more productive during the day. Quality and good sleep is first step to become a produactive person. Get up early and eat a healthy breakfast. Make a tasks list before go to bed . Plannig your time and energy is importatnt. I hihgly recommend to prioritize your tasks. For example whic tasks is very important and urgent for you? Please keep away from your phone, PC and other mobile devices in the study. Be focuse ve be motivated. You can do it.
nice tips! I agree
Ok, let me start, please! At first you have to sleep enough. In that case your concentration will be clear. Secondly, you should know your next day's plans before you go to bed. You can make some notes written on paper or make a reminder in your phone, both are ok. Divide your tasks onto half an hour studying sections and 5 minutes breaks. During you are working or studying turn off your phone or turn it on plane mode. Don't let some distractors such as social networks to get off your concentration. After each 30 minutes studying put the coin on your desktop. That's in order your know your total hard working time. Follow my advices and you will see good changes in your life :)
For me to be a super- organised student, the weekend I make a schedule for the week, what I have to do the morning to the evening for each week. in this case I now what I have to do in this time . Its like the schedule at school but you do it on your own way. Me personally I do it on my computer in gmail especially in calendar there is here the days and the hours and you can modified it if you want and I can't forget because every day I check my gmail and there is a notification to remind you . and if you dont have a gmail you can use Microsoft word you draw a table and you make your schedule and each weeks you can simply modified to put something else that you have to do for the next weeks. it's just take 5 minutes to do that and it really good because you know what to do in this hours. for not wasting your time.
For me to be super organized means to not tired when I do my homework. In order to be more productive, I make mini breaks for 5-10 minutes. In these breaks I do mini workout (exercises). For instance, I am jumping or dancing. Then I sit down at the table and feeling better. It helps me.
I make to do list for every day and as I've done something from the list, I draw a tick next to it. Firstly, I helps me not to forget anything. And secondly, It helps me to see all the tasks that I need to do and split the time correctly
Hi Andrii. I've tried to use to do list. But, it didn't work with me. I end up became too lazy to make to do list. But, I use to write down my chores and set a deadline for each chor. Also, I set up an alarm for deadline chores. It just work a lot better with me :)
In my case, I make several notes for each subjects. I write some most important facts in my note with color pens, and write that day's date. I usually add some mind-maps, or some simple pictures with my highlighted lines, for those help me a lot to remember well. Also I always remain a or two exam papers from my workbooks. As you know, repass is one of the most important thing to get a good grade in the exam, so I have a test (last test) on the D-day of the exams, or I take one last look and check my notes and textbooks. Also it's a great way to keep your schedule on your own calendar. So make your own note in your notes, or calendar. Choose anything of them I bet; you'll never regret it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (believe me!!)
I have no advice but I am a good student.
My tip for being a super organised student is copy everything, listen and organize the ideas.
I haven't got super tip, but I usually write down the things I have to do, in an Excel file, also in the calendar of my phone, only if it is very important.
I haven't got super tip, but I usually write all my homework in a small notebook. Every day, I will open it and know what I need do. Also I suggest everyone to study early in the evening so that you won't feel sleepy. Moreover, when you're stydying, you should not use your smartphone as it will distract you.
I am not an organised student. I don't manage the time logically, and sometimes I rush to do my essay . However, I am trying to become a good organizer by making a list of must-dos during the day.
In my opinion, I think we should to arrange time table reasonable. We spend five minute for Monday to draw up a list of works on the week, You have to put the important thing on the top of your list. Then, you to mark works you complete. Therefore, you never forget my work. I'm hope my opinion will help you.
I don't have any advices because I am not a good super-organised student. However, I am trying best to improve my study skills every day by reading some tips from everyone for studying skill and choosing some that i think it is right for me.
I have to admit that I’m not a good organizer, but I have tried my best to improve my study habit by creating my own tips. My tips for studying English are learning and enlarging vocabulary day by day because new words play an essential role for 4 English skills. I learn from many sources and study whenever i have free time. You don’t need to study in a stereotype, just choose your favorite topics to read, listen, write or speak so you can see that English is not boring like you had thought before.
I don't have a definite advice, but I can say that an excellent organization is the basis of everything, and to be a good student the first thing we need is to divide all our courses in a correct way, which we can understand, on the other hand try to Taking notes in a notebook will help us to have a better organization, since that way we will develop some skills. And having a study section would not be a bad idea, and the correct distribution of our time will help a lot.
To become a superorganized student we must take into account all the things that they leave us during school and write everything down in a notebook, also arriving at your home you can organize your time by setting time limits for each task they leave us. As long as we don't have any distractions.
One of my tips is that listen carefully the importent thing and notice it in a small paper, than you put it in some where you can alway see. This tip help me a lot.
I haven't got super tip, but I wrote all my homework in small notebook. Everyday, I open it and know what I need do. Also I suggest everyone to study early in the evening so that you don't feel sleepy. And when you're studying, you shouldn't use your smartphone because it will make you not concentrate.
Maybe making study plans for the week, keeping the table clean while studying, avoiding any kind of distractions, doing homeworks in time etc are some of the tips for being a super organized student.
I think that I'm organised because I never forget to do my homework or that I have to study. When I start to do homework (in my bedroom) I see what have I got to do on my school diary; then I do a list on a post-it and then I start :-))
(Tell me if there are mistakes)
To be honest I am not a super organized student. But i do some things to make my life easier. Such as using a planner, having a to do list and having lots of folders. :)
My tip as a orginasied student is to plan your day so you can have time to study after school and do other such of things after school. A calander is something I would recommend that will help you get track on further exams and just have your whole day even more orginased.
Excuse me, but I don't understand anything about the reading text. Can you tell me something about the text, please?
Hi Samduykhanh!
This text is about a blog post where Amy has shared her tips for studying and she asks if anyone else has some tips to share. Hana, Gloria and Lou all then share their ideas for studying. Do you have any that you can share with us?

I use a small notebook that I write all my homework. Then I never wait to finish it. If the subject is hard I try to finish it and do what I can. I’m fairly ambitios student and organised. My tips to be a successfull student is to take your education for real. Work and work untill you finish every single homework. My hardest subject is English. I would like to be good at English as well others in here. Hope you lucky
