We get a set, right? Which is the environment that the characters will be walking around in. And a set of cameras that will best show off that environment. And we place them, compositionally, as good as it can possibly look. But also, um, in order to tell the story.
We did a lot of animal research on, um, eagles, crocodiles, walruses, um, large, uh, cranes, in order to get, you know, what, what animal would they most represent and to make them move in that way. And then also to get their personality and crowds to work that way also. Um, the challenge there is that all of those animals don’t coexist peacefully in the real world, so it’s kind of, how do we make them look like they all fit together in, in, in a big crowd.
With any epic movie you need a lot of people doing a lot of crazy stuff and that’s where crowds comes in, as we, we are responsible for adding a lot of people doing all of these tasks – fighting dragons in, in great number and, and running around, um, protecting the village in great number. So, that’s sort of what we’re tasked with is just making, plussing every sequence with, um, more and bigger.
