I think it's a good way to learn history. First of all it's really intresting to be part of such events, atleast for me. Second of all, I think it will help to remember some battles results and their date if you take part in them.
If I could travel in time, I think I would go in 1240-1230 BC, to Troy and recommend the Trojans to check what is inside the giant wooden horse. Who knows, maybe then we could see Troy in today days.

I think this is a good way to learn history because it is easier to understand the overall idea of the certain historical event. Learning via that almost happens without noticing and it can also bring us new point of views about a historical event, which can otherwise be a little difficult to understand it in its entirety as it happened many hundreds years ago.

Yes, history is all around us and it looks fun to learn it in the action.
We'll be able to gain a much better understanding than to just learn by heart!

I learnt this period of England history at school. It was in 15th century. In Civil War won parliamentarians.their leader was Oliver Cromwell.
That's great way to learn history and experience it.You can observe your country's past more close and think about everything what your kings think about.
My history teacher prepare exercises for my class. She also share videos and exercises of world history. One of them was Charles the first. It was hard to watch ,how kill king.
