If I have been to the hospital, I have also been injected, but I don't like it and I have never broken any bones.

I hate to go to a hospital. I don‘t like to smell medicine, because it makes me to be sick. I didn‘t break a bone, but I had 20 injections when I was a baby. When I was eight or nine years old, I had an injection too.

I just keep wondering which prepositions come after "sick"
sick of, to, with, in, for
Can you help me? What are their meanings?

Hi Tysm,

Good question! Yes, it's important to be aware that some words can go with different prepositions to give different meanings. A good dictionary can usually tell you what they mean. In the case of sick, here are a few examples:

  • I'm sick with the flu. This means I'm ill. I've got the flu.
  • I feel sick from eating too many sweets. This means eating too many sweets made me feel ill.
  • I'm sick of cleaning the house. This means I've cleaned the house a lot and I don't want to do it anymore.

Hope that helps!
